Every state in the Midwest has a couple cocktails they like to call their own. Yes, every Midwest state could easily say beer. We're big beer drinkers out here. But we also like our happy hour cocktails.
I've pulled together an official and unofficial signature state cocktail list for the Midwest. Honestly, I've never heard of the official cocktail for Michigan, the Last Word. It sounds good, but I've never heard of it. The Hummer, on the other hand, I've heard of. But I'm guessing many Michigan residents haven't, especially younger residents.

And here is the Hummer. I went extra decadent and had mine with pistachio lime cookies. It's a pretty festive holiday drink, and because it's ice cream, it's also perfect for summer. Cheers!!
