Midwest Modern interior design for the Junior League of Detroit's Designer Showhouse 2020. This room was a reflection of the idea of Midwesterners who are very worldly and well travelled but still decide to call the Midwest home, i.e John Mellencamp, Dave Chappelle. This room was a lounge for the female version of that worldly midwesterner, and this female figure calls Michigan home. Much of the decor involves references to the state of Michigan; all the state symbols are represented, geological anomalies, art, design, etc.  The aesthetic was ultra feminine (think Mia Farrow as Daisy Buchanan) mixed with old school lodge.
