A traditional hip roof style farmhouse gets an updated layout. Without adding any square footage or doing any structural intervention, the new layout acheived a new: kitchen, laundry, mudroom, rear entry, 2 bathrooms, and a principal suite. A wrap around porch & rear screen porch was added. Most original farmhouses had some kind of porch. A master plan gave the clients a direction so they could tackle urgent issues like new siding & windows without having to re-do anything later once the inside is remodeled.
